DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS
Hat ce Sare KAHRAMAN ( 7th Monsters)
There are many various ways to start drawing. I can give you some tips and you can choose the best one
for you.
THE TRADITIONAL WAY TO DRAW
You need a paper and a pencil and an eraser, these are the main tools for traditional art. Then there
comes watercolour pencils, pens, markers, crayons and so on. I think a pencil and a sketchbook is
enough. Sketchbooks are very important in my opinion. All of your artwork beings in one sketchbook. It is
nice that you can see your improvement by looking at your old drawing. It is such an inspiring factor.
LEARNING TO DRAW
I have never taken a professional drawing course. So, I may be
a self-taught artist. Tutorials from social media helps a lot, too. It
can even improve your English.
FINDING AN ART STYLE
Another very important and hard topic is finding a particular art style!
If you like drawing human faces and characters an art style can be
important. But you don’t need to rush to find your art style. It will
improve while you are drawing. Even I don’t have an art style.
I’m definitely not the person to give advice for digital art because I’m
still learning myself and I’m not really good at it. But in any case, I
can comment on some of them.
DIGITAL DEVICE (TABLET / COMPUTER)
You can draw digitally with a normal tablet or a graphic tablet like me. It doesn’t really matter which one
you are using but what matters is getting used to it.
DRAWING APP
Using a paid or a free app wouldn’t make a difference with your art.
But some apps can be more complicated.
For free apps I can suggest you “Krita” or “Ibispaint” and for paid
ones “Procreate1 or “ClipStudioPaint”
I hope to have helped you to find your way on the Street of Art.
