I checked my suitcase one last time to see if there was anything I forgot. My parents said we must go to school immediately because I didn’t want to be late. When I went to school, I saw that my friends were waiting with their parents. Our school headmaster gave a speech before we got on the bus.

We won the English competition between private schools in our district as ‘Monsters’ class so our school headmaster said all monsters class students won ‘a trip to Italy’ as a gift. Our school headmaster congratulated us again and after saying goodbye to our families we took the bus. Three of our English teachers came with us. Our teachers said ‘we must talk just English during the week. After an exhausting flight we went to the hotel and settled down. The last Turkish sentence that big monster told us was this: ‘you will not speak Turkish during the week’.
One Day Later
We had breakfast in early hours of the morning and we left the hotel. There was a beautiful country ahead of was waiting to be discovered. When big monster said we will go ‘leaning tower of Pisa’ we were all very happy but Big Monster gave us a mission. We were going to be divided into groups of two people and we interviewed about the history of the ‘leaning tower of Pisa’. We were very surprised when we saw the tower of Pisa because it looked wonderful. There were lots of people around. After a while, we took our notebooks out of our bag and we started to look for people we could interview. Meanwhile Ayşenaz and I became a group. We were very excited. When we were looking for the person we were going to interview, we were far from our friends. When we realized the situation, we were both very scared. We were in a different place and we didn’t know anyone but we were lucky because we can speak English. We went to first police we saw and we told the situation and then we took permission to use his phone and he said we could use. We called Big Monster and we said where we were. She came in five minutes when we saw Big Monster we hugged her immediately. We never leave her again.
