On my 11th birthday, the gift that surprised me the most came from my uncle. "A tiny frog in a small box". I couldn’t believe my eyes. My uncle knew I loved animals very much and he bought the best gift that would make me happy. This is how our friendship started with Rıfkı.

In a school morning, I fed Rıfkı before leaving home. After that I put it in its home and I started to get ready. My mother brought my lunch box to my room. When I saw that there weren’t my favorite cookies, I quickly went to the kitchen and I took four cookies and I put it in my lunch box then I left the house. Our first lesson was English. I put my lunch box under my table. I started to listen to my teacher carefully. Suddenly my lunch box fell down. I took it and put it on my table and I noticed my lunch box was moving, some strange noises came from my lunch box. When I opened my lunch box, Rıfkı jumped out of the bag as if he was crazy and class got confused at a time. Some of my friends were trying to catch Rıfkı and others were crying in fear. Rıfkı started to panic, too. First it jumped on one of my friend’s shoulder and when my friend screamed, it jumped on Benan’s head. Reyhan teacher was watching what was going on in amazement and she was scared, too. I was going to approach calmly Rıfkı and I was going to take it but Rıfkı did one last move and it jumped to the teacher’s desk. Reyhan teacher screamed a lot and my poor little Rıfkı threw himself into the bin. On one side, our teacher was trembling and afraid of my little cute frog and on the other side Rıfkı was in the bin. I couldn’t do anything for Reyhan teacher but I could rescue my poor Rıfkı. It was disgusting but I put my hand in the bin and at the end I took Rıfkı out of the bin. ‘Ohhh my little frog, it looked very dirty and tired’

After that day Rıfkı became very popular in the classroom. Even ‘Reyhan teacher bought herself a frog’? Of course this is a joke.
