Seferiye Öztürk was born in Erzincan in 1910. She didn't go to school because in their village there wasn't school. But she wanted to be teacher. When she was a child, she took care of animals. She got married in 1925 and came to İzmit. In İzmit she grew vegetables.
One day while she was picking vegetables, a train crossed over her toe. She has got 5 children. One of them is my grandpa. She was tall and slim. Also she was very hardworking. She was very honest, helpful and generous. She came to my grandpa's house after her husband died. She didn't do anything after she was 93. ( She was just sitting etc...) She lived for 12 years with my grandparents. She died in 2015 when she was in her 105. Şerefiye Öztürk was my mother's grandmother.
