Hi! My name is Emily. I am eleven years old. I have one brother and one sister but we aren’t like other people. We have got special powers. I know you may not believe it when you first hear it but it’s real. First of all, I want to talk about my family and myself. My brother Jack, he is ten years old. His special power is ‘running fast’ he is really running like a cheetah.

My sister’s name is Lily. She is seventeen years old. Her special power is ‘teleporting’ you look at her she is near you then you look at her again but she isn’t there. I think this is wonderful. My mother’s name is Isabella. Her special power is ‘hearing everything’, she can even hear the footsteps of the ant walking on the ground. My father’s name is Albert. His special power is ‘being very strong’ he can carry everything. I think he is better than superman. I’ve already said my name. My special power is ‘talking with animal’. I think it’s a wonderful power too. Think you can talk with all animals. There is a building we work in it. The building’s name is ‘Balance of Powers.’ In this building there are heroes like batman, wonderwoman, superman… when there is an emergency, we don’t go together like in the movies. The boss of our company decides who will go when there is an incident. So, everyone has a special balance of powers clock.
One day we were sitting in the company and someone came near us and said ‘the boss is calling you’ I said, the boss often doesn’t call us near him. He calls us only in very emergency situations. We immediately ran to his room. My sister teleported and Jack ran away in 5 seconds. We had to go six storeys. When we went near the boss, he told us that there was a huge earthquake in Tokyo and they needed us. We got there right away. Tokyo looked really scary. People were running from place to place crying. We started working without wasting time. Jack ran quickly and he started giving people things like blankets and water. Since the houses were destroyed, there were a lot of people who were under earthquake rubble. Here, my mother’s power worked. When my mother heard the voices of people under the rubble, she told my father. My father removed the rock and saved the people under the rubble. We should have taken people to a safe place because earthquake can happen again. For this my sister took some people with her and teleported them to a safe place and Jack helped my sister, too. You know, in earthquakes animals are harmed as much as humans but people forgot animals because of their pain. Since I can speak to animals, I can understand what the ‘meow’ sound coming to normal people means so I rescued lots of animals in the earthquake. I saw a crying girl kneeling on the edge of the wall. I went over her and asked her why she was crying. The little girl cried and told me that her cat was staying at home. I asked her to show me her house. She showed and I said: I will rescue your cat, wait us. I called my father near me because something can fall down. The house was in a really bad state. I heard a ‘meow’ sound under a cupboard that fell to the floor. It was saying ‘please help me!’ I immediately went over and told the kitten that it should be calm and I will rescue it. My father lifted the cupboard. The kitten’s tail was injured but it said its tail didn’t hurt a lot. We went out. When the little girl saw her kitten, she became very happy. After fixing everything we brought the kitten to the vet. The vet said: there was nothing bad on its tail. She gave just some cream. The little girl thanked us so much.
