Five years ago, in 2015, we went to Rize on a very nice summer holiday. My father is from Rize and also my aunt's family lives there. So, they came with us, too (my aunt, my uncle and my cousin) We did not want to get on the plane because we were 8 people. That's why my uncle and dad rented a big car. This car really looked like the mob car in the movies. It was very long and black.

Then one evening we set out to go to Rize. Our journey took exactly 2 days. Throughout the journey, my father and uncle always changed places and drove the car. My cousin was always crying because she was only one year old at that time, and my aunt always took care of her. Occasionally on the journey we stopped to breathe and eat something. When we got home later, we rested because we were tired. My aunts' house was large and there was a floor they didn't use, we stayed there. Then we visited different parts of Rize for 2-3 days and had a lot of fun. My sister got on something called a human slingshot. They tied her to a slingshot and pulled her up with a car. When they let her go, she flew. At that time, my brother and I weren’t old enough to ride it. On the 4th day, we found a rafting spot while we were traveling again. We all wanted to ride together. My father spoke to the officer, but it was forbidden for those under 12 years old. At that time, I was seven and my brother was six. My sister was 13 years old, she could ride everything. My father tried to persuade him, but it didn't work. They also gave up the ride, not to leave us alone there. While we were going, my brother and I started crying to get on. Even my parents could not persuade us to go. We were both crying without moving from our place. Because my sister had been on many things, but my brother and I could not get on anything because of our age and this time we were both determined to go rafting. The official there was convinced after a little time. After putting on our helmets and life vests, we got on the rafting boat. Our rafting place was Fırtına Stream and it was really long and wavy. An attendant got on the rafting boat with us and he was controlling the boat. There was a boat behind us and we raced with it. The attendant was saying "hey hop" to keep the rhythm. I was laughing with my siblings. The weather was very cold. My uncle, father, mother, and aunt were rowing too. Later, as we were arriving to the end, my father fell back from the boat, into the water. My mother was very worried, but my father had deliberately fallen to water down to make us laugh and it was really funny. My father called my uncle too, but my uncle was scared and didn't want to go. Then we all laughed to my uncle and he laughed, too. And we won the race. After we got off the rafting, my brother and I had water up to my knees and we were very cold. Even though we got sick after this incident, it was a very beautiful memory that will never be forgotten for me.
