Topic of the week: Think that you opened your eyes in an unknown country. You don’t know the language that is spoken there, they don’t know yours either. What have you seen, what has happened since you were there. Give all the details…
How did you get in touch with people, what is this country like etc..
This question is hard to imagine. Because it is horrible to think. I started to imagine and I decided I am in Singapore. I chose Singapore because I heard a lot of good things about there. Let's go on with dreaming. I am on a street in Singapore and I am looking around astonished I am surfing the internet about Singapore's official language. And it is writing English, too. So, I became hopeful. Then I tried to find a person who knows English. But unluckily all the people I asked, don't know to speak English. So, there is just a solution: using a translating app. I was relaxed about finding a solution. After that, I thought "Why am I not going somewhere in Singapore". Then I took a taxi and said I want to go to the Garden of The Orchid's (with the translate app). Because I have seen the photos on the internet. And they were pretty good. I was too excited. Then I arrived there. I entered and started to walk on the way with full of flowers. Actually, I thought about picking a flower from there because they were fabulous. But I changed my mind because of the event I've seen.
While I was walking calmly, a person took out scissors and cut the flower anxiously. A few minutes later, the police came and fined the man with too much money. Because this flower (Peony) was special and it is 63 thousand liras to cut it.
Then I took a taxi and went to a street for shopping. I bought something and went to the cashier. While I was looking for my wallet, I saw a packet of gum and I started to chew it. All the people were looking at me. I couldn't understand the reason. After that somebody has called the police and came into the shop and came near to me. And he took 1 thousand dollars from me. Then I asked the reason. He said "you must take permission from a doctor to chew a gum. If you don't take, it is forbidden to chew gum". I became shocked, because in my point of view it was nonsense. But later I searched about it and I learned the reason: it’s because of the cleaning. Maybe they are right. Then I stopped dreaming because to me it was enough to live that much action in a day.
Overall, Singapore is a good country to live but, if you know the rules and forbidden things. But if you don't know, I think you should go there after you learned all of the rules.
