The year 1988. There is a girl called Fatma. The month Ramadan. The girl is 7 years old.
It was warm days during the month of Ramadan. Because it was March. Those days were very exciting for Fatma because she was just discovering what is fasting as a child.

Fatma was living with their grandparents in those days. In her first fast, she asked a lot of questions about fasting to her grandpa. But three questions caught his grandfather's attention more than the others.

Fatma: Grandpa can I ask you some questions, please?
Grandpa: Of course you can, my dear granddaughter.
Fatma: So grandpa,
"HOW CAN PEOPLE PRESERVE FROM THE HELL"
"WHAT ARE OUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A MUSLIM"

Grandpa:  These are questions that even adults cannot think to ask. But the answers are even worthy of gold, so we should talk about this with the whole family after Iftar, while drinking our teas.

Fatma: Okay grandpa, I have got more questions, but I have to go, my friends asked me to play with them and I accepted.

Grandpa: Ok dear. Have fun!

Fatma:  Thank you grandpa!

Fatma went and played with her friends. They were all fasting, so they didn't play games. They sat under a century-old plane tree and started talking about Ramadan.

Ayşe: I am really hungry, what about you?

Ahmet: I am thirsty. But I think 1 hour left.
Fatma: Yes 1 hour left, how about chatting to spend the time?

Zeynep: Yeees. I think it will be great.

- AFTER CHILDREN TALKED ABOUT RAMADAN AND IFTAR TIME CAME-

Fatma: Grandpa we had our Iftar so can you answer my questions please?

Grandpa: Yes deary, I was about to answer them. But I am waiting your mom to bring the tea

Mom: I brought.

Fatma: Brother, sister come here.

Ali: I am coming Fatma.

Elif: I am coming too, sister.

Grandpa: Yes, my dear wife, children and grandchildren. The Ramadan month has already came and we fasted for the first day of Ramadan. In the past we could have just a bread in my family. But now there are types of food, soups, desserts... So, you are really lucky. Maybe when you grow up there will be more things. But we can't know anything about future. Anyway... Today Fatma asked me 2 questions and I said to her that, the answers of these questions are more valuable than gold. So, listen to me carefully. Of course, I don't know everything, but at least I am the most experienced person so I can contribute a little from my experience and knowledge to you. How can people preserve from the hell? Realize this question is kind of a tricky but not impossible. First you must know that Allah (c.c.) created everything himself. Not anyone else. Just Allah. Then you must know our religion Islam. Then you must know the differences between how to be a person, how to be a Muslim. These two things are really important. Of course, Muslims are also people but their morals and behaviours are absolutely different. If you know these, you should do just stated things in Qur'an that Allah said and things our Prophet said. Like praying, reading Qur'an, Going to haj and umrah. This a few things. Allah created this beautiful world for us and he wanted just a few things. After this all he said I have got a price who does these things, that will be heaven. I have got a punishment who doesn't do these things, that will be hell. So, we are really lucky because we live in a country, %76 Muslim. My dear granddaughter Fatma I hope I could answer your questions.
Fatma: Yes, grandpa thank you a lot. It is time for tarawih prayer, how about going together?
Grandma: It would be great deary so take your and your sister's scarf and let's go.
Fatma: Ok grandma I am bringing.

After that day Fatma always prayed and read Qur'an and did the things her grandfather said. Now she is 40 years old in this Ramadan. She has got grandchildren and she is teaching the same things, what her grandpa said.
