Hello, my name is Hande. The meaning of Hande is being happy and laughter. First my dad wanted my name to be Zeynep but my mom didn’t want it. Then, they learned that my aunt wanted to give this name to her daughter when she had a daughter. So, my parents couldn’t find a name for me until I was born.

When I was one month old, my parents started to search for names. Then, they noticed that when my dad and my mom write their names one after the other there was a name. Me. My dad’s name is Ömürhan and my mom’s name is Derya. So look what happens when we write them. Ömürhanderya. You see there I am. Then they learned the meaning of Hande. And when they saw that the meaning is quite good, they named me Hande. I really like my name. I think, if they named me Zeynep, I would definitely hate it. Because so many people have that name and it’s very classic. Also I like my name because it’s not hard to spell and pronounce. My best friend always calls me Handiss and I like it.
