It was Monday morning. I came to school and went to my locker to get my books. The lesson was English and our teacher wanted us to write a story about a kangaroo as our weekend homework. I did my homework and thought it was a great story.
I took my books and started walking towards my class. I noticed something. Everyone was waiting in front of the classroom and they didn’t enter. I was curious. I went to my friends and asked them: “Why are we waiting outside?” Zehra answered: “There is a kangaroo in the classroom!” “What? How did it get into the classroom?” Ecem said: “We don’t know. We were also very surprised when we came.” I thought of my English homework and said: “I am sure, it has to do something with our homework.” My friend Defne refused: “Oh, we don’t agree with you.” It was getting late. I asked the teacher to open the door. I slowly opened the door and looked inside. The kangaroo was just sitting. But I noticed something. There was a paper on the desk kangaroo was sitting on. I wanted to get closer to look at the paper. Kangaroo saw me and got scared. Our teacher also looked. The kangaroo was very scared after seeing us all. Then, our teacher decided to call the animal shelter. It took a while, but when they arrived, they took the kangaroo and went away. And finally, we settled in and went back to our lesson. I asked the person sitting to look at the paper. When I read the paper, it seemed like someone had done their homework in advance and left it at school. The story was a very good one and the writer became the winner of this week. We had a strange but beautiful morning.
